IMC News : Toddler Group and Basement Buddies Coming Soon

We have two new members of staff on the IMC team to tell you about and two new initiatives we are working on.

Hannah McKay, a circuit appointment working with us (and other churches in the circuit) as a children and family worker, a group of us have met with Hannah, and in the near future, we are starting a new parent and toddler group at church. We have an enthusiastic team who are going to work with Hannah to provide this new group.
The group will be distinctly Christian and will include Bible stories in the session.

Alison Wood, has been appointed by the circuit to work with us and other churches as a ‘CAMEO’ (Come And Meet Each Other’) role is not based on a formal organisation; it came from a Mid Derbyshire Circuit stewards initiative out of a circuit consultation to provide support for a principally for over 55’s (Potentially neglected group). It follows a ‘Pioneer’ work principle.
The first project we are looking at is a Men’s group probably meeting in the IMC basement with a provisional name of ‘Basement Buddies’
with the venue ‘Basement Bar’! (kind of a ‘youth’ club NOT for youths!).
