Messy Church has been running since 2014, with an average attendance of 60 people spanning all ages from 0 to adult. Our aim is to provide an alternative form of worship and learning for individuals of all ages in the Ilkeston area. We welcome anyone who is interested in joining us.
Messy Church is organized during school holiday periods. Our numbers have steadily grown over the years, and we now attract a diverse group of children aged between 0 and 12, as well as their parents, guardians, and grandparents.
Our sessions are centred around a bible-based story, presented through drama, video, and related craft activities and games. While the sessions are free, we are grateful for the voluntary financial contributions many families make to cover our expenses. We’re thrilled to hear that many attendees have enjoyed our sessions.
2022 Onwards
With Covid bringing everything to a halt in 2020, Messy Church was put on hold, along with other reasons has not taken off again, however, we felt it was a chance to try something new. So keep a look out for Messy Church, Holiday clubs and other family activities,.
Messy Stalll and Messy Museum – You can still find us at one of our stalls at various events such as Carnival, Summer Sounds, Party in Park, Festivals and Museum, with a host of fun activities, games and more.
